Life IGIC participated in the 7th International Entomophagous Insects Conference held in Buenos Aires, Argentina between 17-21 April 2023. An oral presentation entitled “Infochemicals play a key role in the foraging behavior of the olive fruit fly parasitoid Psyttalia concolor” was presented by the PhD candidate Giannoula Bogka in the Chemical Ecology Session. The talk focused on the potential of plant-derived and host-derived cues in order to improve the control of the olive fruit fly by improving parasitoid wasps’ efficiency. The project was financially supported by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, the LIFE IGIC project and the Uyttenboogaart-Eliasen Stichting Foundation.
