At an educative seminar held by the Asterousia Olive Producers Group on 24th March 2022 at Stavies, Crete.
Dr Emmanouil Kambourakis, coordinator and scientific advisor of the LIFE IGIC project, gave a talk on the topic “Agricultural practices in olive groves for maximization of harvesting and olive oil quality”. LIFE IGIC project – Improvement of Green Infrastructure in agroecosystems: reconnecting natural areas by countering habitat fragmentation – LIFE16 NAT/GR/000575- was presented as well as the actions and farming practices that are applied in the project’s olive groves, in order to improve ecosystem services and reduce environmental impact of olive cultivation.
